Dr Jayne Forrester-Paton specialises in perimenopause, menopause, contraception and sexual and reproductive health. She prides herself on providing excellent care, providing you with the time and support to explore your needs and devise a personal treatment plan. Supporting you through each stage of your menopause journey, to allow you to take control of your body, health and sense of wellbeing.
Dr Forrester-Paton can advise on and prescribe hormonal & non-hormonal treatments, contraception, testosterone and lifestyle modification. She is experienced in providing complex menopause care and treats women who have a past history of breast cancer.

How it Works

The menopause can be a challenging time with a myriad of possible symptoms. You might be confused by conflicting advice and have experienced difficulty trying to get support. Dr Jayne Forrester-Paton set up this clinic to ensure you can access empathetic expert advice when you need it most.

Consultations are provided in person or via telephone or video link and are designed to give you time to discuss your symptoms and concerns and get the advice and personalised treatment you need.

Initial consultation

Your initial 45 minute consultation can be conducted in person in either our Cardiff or Penarth clinic locations or remotely via telephone or video link. The initial consultation is designed to explore your needs and medical history and agree a personal treatment plan, advising you on HRT, non-hormonal treatments or lifestyle changes as appropriate.

Follow up consultation

Consultations are available in person in Cardiff and Penarth or remotely via telephone or video link.

During your initial 45 minute consultation Dr Jayne Forrester-Paton will explore your symptoms, concerns and medical history in order to support you with a personal treatment plan.

How do I book a consultation?

Can I have a telephone or video consultation?

Yes you can chose a telephone, video or face to face consultations. You can chose to have a face to face consultations either in Cardiff at the Cathedral Road clinic or Penarth in the Wellfield Clinic. Please see Contact page for more information on locations and how to find these. Telephone and video consultations are charged at the same price as face-to-face consultations.

Do I need a referral letter from my GP?

You do not need a GP or another doctor’s referral letter to book a consultation. The majority of women self-refer and do not need a letter.

If you have any blood test results or letters from previous relevant medical consultations, then it is useful to bring copies of these with you when you attend for your appointment or email or complete the online form which is emailed to you on booking your appointment.
